Airline Hwy (US-61/US-190), Baton Rouge, LA.

This crossing really need somekind of update or something because this crossing is an accident waiting to happen.

Let's see, a busy 6-lane road + an active train line + next to a traffic light intersection + the crossing is gateless + Idiotic drivers...... If that's not a recipe for disaster, I don't know what is....

While filming this, there was multiple vehicles that ignored the crossing signal and have to stop for the red light which it forced the drivers to run the red light at this intersection, and even almost encountered an accident while filming (the car I zoomed in at around 1:56 in the video), and during the train horn, I did say "what the hell is wrong with these people" but more in likely the train horn drown out the sentence, so more likely you didn't hear my voice.

According to the FRA, they have been 35 accidents that happened at this crossing with 4 of those accidents being injury accidents, lucky there isn't any fatal accidents at this crossing.... yet.
Personally, I think the FRA, Canadian National, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation should do something with this crossing.

It seems like large cantilever signals like that tend to be at crossings that don't see a lot of traffic.

I don't really see the point of rear lights there...

The way the shadows look on the ground, I'd think it's safe to say that's the same train in both shots. It's probably stationary as well, since it doesn't appear to have moved, just that the ditch lights are running while it's stopped for some reason.

Along with that, there are EXEMPT signs on the cantilevers base, maybe the line is out of service or it just informs buses that they don't have to stop?

EXEMPT signs do not necessarily signal that the track is out of service, but rather that vehicles that are required to stop at crossings don't have to if they are signed as such. In the case of this road, it appears to be a road with high traffic, and it would cause backups if vehicles required to stop had to here.
