Location of "Cat Eye" Crossbucks

Post by Erik-Gorb-Hamilton »

Looked for a thread on this and didn't find one so here we go.

For those wondering (if there is anyone here who doesn't know) a "Cat Eye" Crossbuck looks like this:

They are nick named that way due to the way the beads light up, giving a cats eye that is lit up impression.

Here is a pair guarding a old line turned into a trail

Pardon the 5 month bump, but I have taken some photos of a Cat Eye crossbuck on Terrace St. in Baton Rouge, LA (and this crossing will be uploaded sometime in the future).

This is the entire crossing signal, the crossing has seen better days, but at least it's still there, at lease since this post.

Even a closer up view of the word "RAIL" that shows the cat eyes, and notice that 2 of them in the letter L is missing

Probably the only public crossing to still have inverted crossbucks.
