Hidden Acres Road, Lebanon, TN

*recorded on 1-19-18*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs, a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, 2 NEG LED gate lights, and 1 7 inch NEG LED gate light.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs, a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and 7 inch NEG LED gate lights.

This crossing is pretty typical of many crossings along the section of the NERR that the Music City Star operates along. When the Music City Star was going to open in 2006, the NERR upgraded almost every crossing that didn't have gates to gated signals like these (except with all 7 inch NEG gate lights), with only a few private crossings in Mt. Juliet, TN remaining unchanged. Many of the 7 inch gate lights along the line have also since been replaced with 4 inch ones, though a good number still remain if you know where to look for them. Though I did set-up on this side of the crossing due to the gate having all 7 inch gate lights, even though the lighting on this side wasn't as good.
They/Them for me, please.

Did they actually buy SD50 or whatever they are from BNSF?

I'm not sure where they got their B39-8s from. I know it's an ex-LMX engine, and I've heard that this engine's paint scheme is "BNSF-inspired", but I don't know if the BNSF ever used it or not. Though I kinda doubt it.
