Some rather old signals at that crossing. They used to still have 8 inch lights back in 2011:

At least the Safetran mechanical bell still remains. Also, did anyone notice the 1 Track sign on the cantilever?

US&S Relay Case here!

That's a more modern one that just happens to be rather rusty, though it is rather small! It has since been repainted:

Some nice old SOU signals in Athens, TN!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4560519 ... 312!8i6656

A pure 1980s NS install!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4581266 ... 312!8i6656

More old SOU signals!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4692318 ... 312!8i6656

Classic L&N signals!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5237711 ... 328!8i1664

Another old L&N install with newer Safetran gate mechs:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5452468 ... 328!8i1664

Both signals are on the wrong side of the road!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7266349 ... 312!8i6656

And interesting set-up. Wonder if this crossing has a history of accidents (and if so, then why hasn't CSX upgraded it yet)?

https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7342335 ... 312!8i6656

A pretty uncommon set-up here in the eastern US:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7721241 ... 312!8i6656

Another old L&N install with newer Safetran gate mechs. It appears CSX went through and replaced any and all non-Safetran gate mechs along this line around 10 years ago:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7841445 ... 312!8i6656

More classic L&N signals!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7853183 ... 312!8i6656

https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7834322 ... 312!8i6656

https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7703326 ... 312!8i6656

Another pair of old SOU signals:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.769497, ... 312!8i6656

Another old SOU install!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7786445 ... 312!8i6656

More old L&N signals!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.8198375 ... 312!8i6656

Old L&N Searchlight signals!

Southwest Airlines.

Basically, there are engines that are set-up so that no-one has to be in the cab as they can be controlled remotely, usually only when switching. Believe it or not, but HMCR 8933 was remote controlled, IIRC.

I don't mean to come across as a dick but not everyone knows the locomotives of your local railroad.

Actually, one of the cantilevers is still there, just with a new gate mast behind it. The crossing is also on the site:
