Looks like this out of service crossing in Cambridge, Maryland use to be protected by traffic signals!

This area is a triple whammy, as there are 2 abandoned amusement parks down the road from this:

I visited each of those parks at least once in my lifetime. Let's go a little further down the line:
Heading southeast...

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.3299593 ... 6656?hl=en

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.3173662 ... 6656?hl=en
Looks like a signal base was left behind here.

Beyond this, it appears to turn into a walking path.

Heading northwest:

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.369158, ... 1664?hl=en
It still had signals back in 2008! In fact, they might still be there.

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.389302, ... 6656?hl=en
The crossing was left in here

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4020358 ... 6656?hl=en

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4089264 ... 6656?hl=en
Neat old underpass

Beyond this, it appears the line might go back into service.

Not sure if this was posted, here's one in San Bernardino, CA:

12x24 lights:

https://www.google.com/maps/@34.077603, ... 312!8i6656

NOTE: This is actually the crossing seen in photos of the December 2, 2015 shooting in San Bernardino, I still remember that day, I was sad to hear what happened like about 2 and a half years ago.

Sorry, i tend to have an issue with being date specific, you mean 2 years ago.

Here's a video showing an out of service Nickle Plate Road line, with a number of old signals along it:

One of the crossings shown used to have a pair of Safetran 8 inch signals with a WCH mechanical bell and even a wishbone gate! They've sadly since been removed:

They/Them for me, please.

I have to wonder what that crossing looked like when it was in service. Was it only the one gate there and nothing else?
