It doesn't really even serve any purpose anyways, even without that tent being in the way...ToledoRailfan wrote:Interesting setup in French Lick, Indiana.

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
That is why at first glance I thought it was just a signal on display owned by the railroad museum next to the crossing. It just looks so awkward. Here it is in 2012 without the tend the fencing rope thing, still looks pretty awkward.freebrickproductions wrote:It doesn't really even serve any purpose anyways, even without that tent being in the way...ToledoRailfan wrote:Interesting setup in French Lick, Indiana.

Maybe the railroad doesn't want people turning left across the tracks? If so, then they're wasting several good potential parking spaces just by having it that far back.ToledoRailfan wrote:That is why at first glance I thought it was just a signal on display owned by the railroad museum next to the crossing. Can't be. That's a gated crossing. Looks like that is just the advance warning sign that you're seeing. It does look like one though from that view, at first glance after clicking your link I even thought it could be one.NathanFromEngland wrote:Is this a rotating stop sign signal?freebrickproductions wrote:Maybe the railroad doesn't want people turning left across the tracks? I think you meant to post that in the bell only crossing and/or US&S Teardrop bell threads.brett nc railfanner wrote:Fayetteville, Arkansas:
