Plymouth, WI (explanatory text)
http://www.rxrsignals.net/Wisconsin/L-P/Plymouth/
There are a few things wrong/updated regarding the text description at the top of the page.
1.) Both railroads DID use Thayer Street. The 3 tracks there are the former CMStP&P main, siding, and the out-of-service former C&NW (now UP) track. The UP DOT number for that crossing is 180336R.
2.) The two railroads did NOT share County Highway J or Clifford Street. I can tell on Bing Maps (formerly MSN Live Maps) Bird's Eye View that C&NW (later UP) had a seperate crossing on Clifford Street that currently has the signals removed and the rails paved over.
http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?v ... &encType=1
(In the link above, the former CMStP&P [WSOR] is on the left, former C&NW/UP is overgrown to the right)
They DID share Thayer Street, Main Street @ Milwaukee Street, and Reed Street. At all of those crossings, the partially paved over C&NW/UP rails are still there.
3.) WSOR currently operates to Plymouth twice weekly from their North Milwaukee Yard. They operate through Clifford, Reed, and Thayer, where the customers are. All the other crossings are further north and get even less action, usually only when cars are brought into or out of storage on the line north of town, or for special events like the steam-powered "Santa Trains" in December '07 and '08.
4.) The state has recently purchased the UP (former C&NW) line, which goes east to Sheboygan Falls, Kohler and Sheboygan. Eventual plans call for WSOR to rehab it and take over much of the Sheboygan service from UP. This would restore that track to service through Thayer and Reed, as well as the seperate crossings on Clifford and points east. Anything north and west of the former diamond (like Main @ Milwaukee) probably would not see service restored.

Re: Plymouth, WI (explanatory text)
Okay...... That's a lot to absorb.
Thanks for the description, but what needs to be changed? What logos should be there, and what text needs changing on which pages?

Re: Plymouth, WI (explanatory text)
Let me see...
The logos are fine.
Thayer Street should have the C&NW DOT number, 180336R, added to it.
Clifford Street should have the C&NW DOT number (also the one that starts with 180-) removed from it, since the railroads had separate crossings on that street (the former C&NW one is currently defunct).
The whole explanatory text on the town page needs updating, since WSOR has been operating the former CMStP&P line ever since and is no longer "in the process of restoring the tracks." The state of Wisconsin HAS just purchased the former C&NW/UP line (the overgrown, out-of-service appearing track in some of the Reed Street and Main Street @ Milwaukee Street photos) for future rehabilitation and operation by WSOR.
Current WSOR operations are 2 trains weekly on the former CMStP&P line, although most of those trains only go as far north as Thayer Street and the crossings north of there (Main/Milwaukee, Elizabeth, Grove and J) see less traffic.
Also, the part about both railroads not operating through Thayer Street needs to be removed (since they did) and the exceptions should be made for Clifford Street (separate crossings) and County J (C&NW line did not cross that road).
The logos are fine.

Re: Plymouth, WI (explanatory text)
I think I understand most of the corrections needed. For the Main/Milwaukee, Elizabeth, Grove and J crossings, what should the daily/weekly/monthly train count read? 2 per year?
I'll hold off on fixing those crossing totals for now, until I get get an estimated total. The other crossings have been fixed with 2 weekly trains.

Re: Plymouth, WI (explanatory text)
It looks better, except the way you worded it it looks like Clifford Street and County Highway J are defunct. The crossings on the site aren't - it's just that the former C&NW line never crossed J, so it won't have 2 DOT numbers, and the same line had a crossing on Clifford Street that is currently defunct, but seperate from the former CMSt&P crossing that is on the site.
I'd say 2 trains per month is more accurate for the other crossings, given the number of car storage moves that have been made lately.

Re: Plymouth, WI (explanatory text)
Okay. I reworded the text on Plymouth, WI.
It'll take a while longer to change the train count to 2 monthly trains, because I haven't made graphics for any monthly trains yet, so that'll take a while to do.

Okay. All other crossings have been changed to 2 monthly trains.
Is everything else okay on the page? If so, I'll close this error report.
