That's probably what happened, sadly. Wonder if they tried to fix it, and why they didn't go with a mechanical bell as the replacement?NathanFromEngland wrote:Maybe the teardrop died.freebrickproductions wrote:At least it still has the pair of 12x20 inch Lex-C lights! In the first video, it's hard to tell, but the teardrop tends to pause frequently, or maybe the railroad wanted to invest?

They might not have had replacement parts for it. An E-bell was probably easier to get a hold of.freebrickproductions wrote:Wonder if they tried to fix it, and why they didn't go with a mechanical bell as the replacement?NathanFromEngland wrote:Maybe the teardrop died.freebrickproductions wrote:At least it still has the pair of 12x20 inch Lex-C lights! True, along with being lighter weight (so they're easier to install).ToledoRailfan wrote:They might not have had replacement parts for it. Even then, those aren't really excuses for a railroad museum.freebrickproductions wrote:True, along with being lighter weight (so they're easier to install).ToledoRailfan wrote:They might not have had replacement parts for it. To be fair there for of a heritage excursion railroad than they are a museum per se. Although at the Musée ferroviaire canadien (Canadian Railway Museum) near Montreal, they do have a pair of modern 8" signals with WCH E-bells which guard a crossing for visitors on their museum grounds, the crossing is a trolley line which runs around the museum. I think the signals themselves are less of museum pieces and more just there to actually guard the crossing (even though they haven't actually worked for a while if I recall correctlyZachL wrote:Even then, those aren't really excuses for a railroad museum.freebrickproductions wrote:True, along with being lighter weight (so they're easier to install).ToledoRailfan wrote:They might not have had replacement parts for it. Sad news, as another railfan on YouTube just told me, this Teardrop is now gone:cabman701 wrote:Very nice to see it was fixed, plus that the EM gates are still there!

Both e-bells appear to be NEG e-bells as well...
At least the old EM gate mechs and cantilevers still remain...
