The heat is on

Temperature on my digital thermometer at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Has been like this since Sunday and we are only expecting a minor cool down Thursday with temps still in the lower 90's. This is usually the type of weather we get in August. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come!

It's going to be 96 degrees here today! That's pretty hot...but I know Elton down there in Georgia has been dealing with it for a while now...

We have one of those Acurite thermometers, too. It reads 88.3 right now. Not exceptionally hot, but plenty toasty especially for Wisconsin.

That 16 is your humidity right? I know it's usually pretty dry where you are.

Our humidity here has been running in the 60 to 70% range. Makes that 102 feel more like 110! You sweat almost instantly when you walk outside.

Yep. That 16 is humidity. Just wait until Tomorrow. Precipitable water is expected to shoot up to the 1" level Tomorrow morning. Things are going to get quite humid around here, so that 16 may be in the 40s and 50s shortly.
