Looks like there is rail museum there, they probably put that crossbuck there just for decoration.

That is the main working space for the 2926 project. The group is restoring a former ATSF Northern there.

There use to be crossing lights on this traffic signal mast.

These were replaced by a mast signal. Although it could be possible that the lights on the new signal are the same lights that were on the traffic signal mast.

Those are actually Griswold signals, Griswold Type B lights, and Griswold bells!dan the ca railfan wrote:Found two more complete safetran cantilevers with four pairs of 8 inch lights and two safetran mechanical's

what makes these so great is that not also are they complete but they're the only ones in the San Jose area to my knowledge.
Though the second crossing has a set of Safetran 8 inch lights on the mast of one of them, it appears.
Classic signals there as well:dan the ca railfan wrote:Found 45 degree cross buck in Albuquerque new mexico on a fence!

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
It's a little hard to tell. Several parts of the line seem more silver than others, and plus most of the signals on the line are in better shape than those two in particular. And like David said, the weeds are being taken care of. My guess that it is just a very infrequently used line.freebrickproductions wrote:The rails are pretty rusty, though someone's keeping the the line clear of weeds!ZachL wrote:I can't imagine that those are in service.ToledoRailfan wrote:These signals with split crossbucks are pretty rusty.
