*originally recorded on 8-15-18*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of US&S 12x20 inch lights and a WRRS lantern gate light.
Signal on the right: 1.5 pairs of US&S 12x20 inch lights, 1 Modern Industries 12x20 inch light, and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.
Went out to the TSRR a few days ago to try and catch some of their GP9us since I heard that they were getting some GP38-3s to replace them with. Sadly, the train out of Lawrenceburg had already had the GP9s replaced with a pair of GP38-3s, though it was nice to see the new locomotives, and I was able to use it to catch a number of TSRR crossings in action. I would've caught them starting in Lawrenceburg, but sadly, they left prior to when I got there, and I was only able to catch up with them in St. Joseph, so this was the first crossing I caught them at. The TSRR has also lost a customer down here in Florence since I was last here, meaning that they now have a shorter train on their runs south to Florence.
This crossing features a pair of signals installed by the TSRR (in the 1990s, if I had to guess) with the original WCH mechanical bell and one of the original lights replaced. This crossing is one of the last few crossings on this part of the TSRR with incandescent lights, especially with US&S lights. Blue ENS signs have been added here since I was last at this crossing, though they appear to lack a (legible) DOT number on them. The crossing also remains on a while after the train passes, a bit unusual compared to other crossings along the line. The bell here also faces towards the tracks for some reason.
