very lucky to live two-three blocks away from three teardrop bells. one of which i see at least once a week!

never knew such a thing existed!
14 inch lights were used primarily for the No Right/Left Turn lights and typically didn't feature backgrounds as a result. The only exception was WCH, who used/uses a standard 12 inch light-head, and as such, most of their signals of this type feature backgrounds.
