I would love to drive a school bus sometime... I rode one from kindergarten thru halfway my senior year of high school... I was always the "Driver's Pet"... I usually got to help the sub bus drivers because no one else would; also I was usually the first on and last off....
My district would drive our buses into the ground, replacing them only if necessary.... I remember growing up they used lots of late 80's, early 90's Carpenters, then slowly switched to mid to late 90's Thomas buses, then switched to late 90's to mid 2000 Blue Birds...Now they are making the switch to the new Internationals (which are AWESOME)....
I'm just curious how many school districts use some sort of "crossing paddle".... Where the bus driver has a 2 sideded paddle that shows people walking on one side, and a stop sign on the other.... back in my day, it was a smiley face on a yellow background and a sad face on a red background...

This one is mainly for Josh... thought he would enjoy. It combines 2 of our favorite things... trains and school buses!
