The rear lights on the teardrop signal look 8" to me, unless it's the angle that it was taken?

Probably was the angle. I was sitting in my car when the signals started, I wasn't expecting them to, so I hurridly took that video... assuming they would not be on for long.

You can see a better picture of the signal if you go back to page 8 in this thread... it definitely confirms they are 12X24 lights. That is pretty much the standard on the NS line around here except for a few new installs that are 12X20.

hehehehe. Here's a teardrop I found in good ol' Rancho Cucamonga, CA. And someone either painted or put a reflective strip on the mast.

The ones in San Bernardino look like Griswold or RACO to me. I can see though where the one RACO on the 12"x20" kind of looks like a Teardrop, but it isn't quite a teardrop.

Good finds though. I always like seeing gateless signals.

I was biking through some areas of my home town...areas that I never really see and I was surprised to find US&S tear drops!!!!! TWO at a crossing that may be defunct, but I'm not sure if it's functional still. To the west, there is a crossing on the same line that looks in great shape. The line ends about a quarter mile east from the tear drops. Needless to say I was thrilled.

That's why I like hunting on spur lines in California. Lots of nice stuff to find out there.
