NC&StL Depot Museum, Jackson, TN
*originally recorded on 6-18-19*
This signal has 2 pairs of WRRS 8 inch lights. There's another signal on the property also with 2 pairs of WRRS 8 inch lights and a cast-iron crossbuck mounted on what appears to be a fence post, but it doesn't work.
After chasing the WTNN local, I went across Jackson to document the crossings along the isolated CSX line there. When I pulled-up to the Royal Street crossing, I noticed that the depot museum next to the crossing features some crossing signals, so I went over and documented them after documenting the crossing. Talking with the curators for the museum, I found out that the signal in this video actually came from the Royal Street crossing next to the museum, and appears to have been replaced sometime in the 1990s. The museum also has another (nonfunctional) signal on display (as mentioned above), along with a few 8 inch lights of various makes (WRRS, Federal Signal, US&S, and WABCO were all of the ones I spotted) stashed around the inside of the museum itself. This signal is operated by a push-button that has to be held down.
The second video shows a close-up of the WRRS 8 inch lights on this signal. It appears that the lens on the left is original.
They/Them for me, please.
