That's certainly a shame, at least the motor-box is still there, wonder if it broke?

Also nice to see some more WCH 8 inch lights installed here in the US. Looks like they use Electro-tech LEDs?

The Van Ness signal was turned hybrid as well. The banner survives, but is not functional

Why is the Van Ness signal like that? Did it just stop working?

The crossing covered by the Van Ness wigwag has a blind approach (for both the train crew and automobiles) going south down the street. Train building from the nearby yard means lots of back and forth movements on the line, which fouls the crossing numerous times. There really isn't another location for additional signal masts, and a wigwag is truthfully a poor attention getter: especially in these distracted driving days.

Seems kinda dangerous not to mount at least some kind of bell on the mast if the wigwags ain't gonna be used.
