This was the last place I caught the BAYL at on this day, as there's no signalized crossings between here and Grimes, and the train was tied down for the evening due to some track work going on on the Dothan Sub. A724 was also a no-show again on this day, so this was my last video of the day, unfortunately.
The crossing itself is a pretty nice one, however. Like the Broad Street crossing, this also features some old ACL signals that had the original 8 inch lights (likely US&S, based on the bases) replaced in the 1990s by the BAYL, using reused MI light-heads. However, unlike Broad Street, this crossing doesn't have any indicator lights on the masts, and also received an LED upgrade at some point in the 2000s (most likely the late-2000s, if I had to guess), like a few other crossings along the line. The signals also still retain some old SCL property stickers on their masts, which is very cool to see, and it appears the far signal was side-swiped sometime recently, as the pair of lights closest to the road are knocked out of alignment. The closer signal also needs a bit of work as well, as one of the LEDs has had a noticeable number of LEDs on it die, and the other front LED has had the breadboard fall out of the lens. The rear lights appear to be fine, however. The crossing also did a tail-ring malfunction, though I didn't get it on video as I had stopped recording by the time it happened and I didn't notice it until after it had started.
They/Them for me, please.
