After catching A724 in Troy, I chased them on over here, where we see them pulling into the siding at Youngblood to meet A723, making this the 14th and final crossing I caught A724 at on the 28th. After catching them here, I went up to Ansley to try and catch A723, but it got dark with A723 still being a ways off, so I decided to head on back to my hotel in Troy. Either way, I got to do a rather long chase of A724, especially north of Dothan, which was something I quite needed to be able to do on this trip, so I'm extremely glad with what I got on this day.

This crossing is a bit of an interesting one. It appears to be a 1980s install done by either the late SBD or CSX. However, rather than using a the typical WCH 12x24 inch lights on the mast signal, a pair of Federal Signal 12 inch lights were re-used here and given some 24 inch backgrounds! In the 2000s, the original mechanical bells (which were either a WCH pair or a WCH/MI combo, with the MI bell being on the cantilever) were replaced with the current General Signals Type 2/Safetran Type 3 e-bell combo by CSX. However, I don't mind this too much since the bell combo sounds quite cool from this angle. All in all, this was a nice crossing to end this nice long chase off on.
