*originally recorded on 8-1-19*

Signal on the left: 3 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, a WCH mechanical bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, a WCH mechanical bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

This was the next crossing I caught A724 at. As you can see, like Sims Street in Bainbridge, this crossing also features a pair of old SCL signals that are still largely original. In fact, up until 2019, these signals were entirely original. However, unfortunately, like most of the crossings in Donalsonville with 8 inch lights, this one was upgraded to LEDs sometime a bit more recently, but both WCH mechanical bells remain and sound quite nice together. A bit odd though was the fact that after removing the original WCH 8 inch lights, CSX just kinda left them piled next to the crossing, as can be seen just to the right of the closer signal on the far side of the tracks. There was another crossing in Donalsonville like this was well, but the old lights were more overgrown and I chose not to get a video of it while I was on my trip. Even with the LED upgrades, I do think these old SCL signals look quite nice. Not entirely sure why.
They/Them for me, please.
