still a shame all those mechanical bells that once served on the Jefferson city sub are now gone. Not sure how long the ones on the sedalia sub are gonna last. I still need to document the crossings in Independence and maybe post them onto the site at some point.UnionPacific4Life wrote: Tue Sep 17, 2019 12:29 pm Yes.
Webster Groves has ONE WCH mechanical left, all other bells are gone. Same with Kirkwood, but unfortunately the only Kirkwood M-Bell is on a dormant (basically defunct) line.

That sucks. I'm guessing that's what happened to the one at Kentucky rd. Least they replaced it with a wch type 4 e bell instead of an NEG e bell. Only 1 crossing in independence has an NEG e bell.UnionPacific4Life wrote: Tue Sep 17, 2019 3:34 pmThe bell nazis haven’t touched the only T1 bell in my area. Fortunately I have videos of that crossing from 2015 from when it had a safetran mechanical bell that I still need to upload for my vault classics series on my channel.

Speaking of NEG e bells, how many of them have UP installed on the Jefferson city sub? Re: Favorite Mechanical Bell
So far just one or two. Rock Hill Rd got it‘s 2nd m-bell replaced a few years ago, and an e-bell went up. I believe it‘s a GS type 2. Leffingwell Ave is the only one I know of. It‘s NEG bell went up on a new signal a few years ago.Nascar Fan007 wrote: Tue Sep 17, 2019 7:15 pmSpeaking of NEG e bells, how many of them have UP installed on the Jefferson city sub? Re: Favorite Mechanical Bell
Do you know why UP installed a new signal again at that crossing? I noticed that it used to have a wch e bell which replaced a wrrs mechanical bell. I remember what that crossing used to look like because of videos that Trainmankight did back in 2007/2008.UnionPacific4Life wrote: Wed Sep 18, 2019 8:25 amSo far just one or two.
