*originally recorded on 10-8-19*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights and a Modern Industries mechanical bell.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights.

When I got down to the Gadsden area, I stopped over at the ATN and found out that the local I was hoping to chase would be leaving about an hour later, so I went ahead and checked-up on a few crossings in the area. After documenting the upgrade at Hoke Street and another crossing, I went on back over towards the yard, where I saw the local beginning to leave, so I raced on back over to this crossing. A little while later, the local freight came on through with a pair of ex-CN GP40-2LWs that are still in CN paint!

This crossing is a very nice one, so I'm quite glad to have gotten it recorded. This crossing features a pure later-L&N install, which is quite nice to see! The MI bell here also sounds pretty great, which is excellent as well. A guy in a silver pick-up truck decided to cut it rather close because they couldn't be bothered to wait about two minutes at most.
The abandoned 9th Street #2 crossing can also be kinda seen in the background, though the one remaining signal there is obscured by a utility pole.
