The thing is, Decos like that are almost a dime a dozen on the collectors market, with just about every collector having at least one. Hell, I even have on myself that I got for $100, including shipping. Other traffic signal collectors also agree that it's overpriced (want to say most people'd value them around $100 to $200 depending on the condition, maybe $400 to $600 for an entire cluster like that, at least IMHO).ZachL wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 6:00 pmAge probably has something to do with that one.NathanFromEngland wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2019 3:18 pm Seriously?

Anyways, here's an early Federal Signal 12 inch light that I'd probably jump on for the price alone, even if it does lack the background and visor, since early Federal Signal lights like this seem to be hard to find...
However... uh...
Just take a look for yourself:

Hayes Track Appliance Co. is where the Hayes part of Western Cullen Hayes comes from.ZachL wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2019 4:36 pmInteresting Hayes branding! I never knew that existed!NathanFromEngland wrote: Sun Oct 13, 2019 1:11 pm ...why on earth would you ask for a grand for a derailer.

Federal Signal bought Hayes and absorbed it into their Western Cullen Division back in the 70s, so I wouldn't be surprised if WCH still primarily brands much of their track hardware as just "Hayes", as seen there.

Now it makes me wonder where Cullen comes from. Western is pretty obvious to signal fans, or at least I hope it isfreebrickproductions wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2019 8:40 pmHayes Track Appliance Co. is where the Hayes part of Western Cullen Hayes comes from.ZachL wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2019 4:36 pmInteresting Hayes branding! That's honestly a good question. Not even WCH's own website explains where that part of the name came from.ZachL wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2019 8:50 pmNow it makes me wonder where Cullen comes from. I know this is benefiting charity and all, but i find the way these books are priced to be rather costly...
