Wow, a lot has happened with the equipment at that crossing over the years!

Yea, there's been quite a few changes. Documented that one for the site over the summer. Interestingly enough, the signal with the bell has re-used 90s Safetran equipment on it!

I also would've loved to recorded this nice old pure earlier SBD install in Cairo, but never got the chance to, sadly:
https://www.google.com/maps/@30.8738745 ... 312!8i6656
I was able to record the surviving ACL signal in downtown Cairo though, so overall, I'm glad.
They/Them for me, please.

Not sure what kind of install this is, but I think it's either an early CN install, or an IC install:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1777971 ... 384!8i8192

Same for this one, save for the GS E-Bell:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1808722 ... 384!8i8192

I wonder if these cantilevers are from IC?
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1821313 ... 384!8i8192

Rather odd to see 12x24 lights on mast and 8 inch lights on the overhead:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.097381, ... 384!8i8192

This crossing here has its' Safetran Type 3 E-Bell replaced with a WCH mechanical bell!!! :LOL3:

Definitely IC for the first two. Not entirely sure about the 3rd, but I'd say most likely.

Oddly enough, the crossing is also featured in a video involving a collision with a train, but i assume it's well known now.

Can't say I knew that, TBH. Also, it features the signals before they got any major upgrades to them, it appears.

This cantilever in San Bernardino, CA has its crossbuck and tracks sign moved up, that's kinda interesting, probably visibility?:
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.0999827 ... 384!8i8192

Back in March of 2018, the crossbuck and the tracks sign was like this, above the 12x24 lights:
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.0999644 ... 384!8i8192

The crossing is on the site as well: http://www.rxrsignals.com/California/R- ... nardino/G/
Southern California is known for it's sunny weather, the beaches, and even attractions! Gotta Go Fast! - Sonic The Hedgehog. Favorite place - Hollywood

Nice to see a Metrolink crossing that still retains its mechanical bells.
And I'm guessing it's due to visibility, yea.
