Morris Street in Dalton, GA has had it's WRRS mechanical bell there work, but it does sound like a cow-bell. It has since been dead.

And here's something else: The NS signal on the far left hasn't had it's Safetran Type 3 Mounted on yet!

The bell in the second shot of this Czech crossing is extremely flat!

The mechanical bells have since been replaced with Czech type-2 e-bells :Awww:

As a British person, what is GETS? Is it some sort of fire alarm or crossing manufacturer?

GETS stands for General Electric Transportation Services. Basically GE made railroad crossing equipment from led lights to e bells.
Proud owner of 7 mechanical bells along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.

It is even worse now, i am a member of the preserved railway it is located on, when i get more active there i will look at fixing it if i can, otherwise if it is beyond repair i will place a new mechanism inside it!

Have a clip of it from this summer, will upload it!

This crossing has a pair of bad alarms, this crossing has now been removed.

Back in March 2014 they didn't sound that bad...

EDIT: Prior to closure they sounded much worse...
