A few days ago in my Discord Server, someone posted a screenshot of an (at the time) recent auction on eBay of a WRRS mini-bell. Since it looked to be in good shape and had a Buy It Now for a decent price, I decided to go ahead and make the purchase. The shipping details said that it was to get here by Tuesday, but it wound-up coming much sooner when I saw it on my front porch on my way to work on Friday. I finally got around to getting some photos and videos of the bell Sunday, and have only just gotten around to posting them today. I'm still quite glad I got this bell though, as WRRS mini-bells are just simply quite neat. The bell itself is in overall great shape, and it appears that it was repainted not too long before it was removed. There is a bit of rust showing through the paint, though, and part of the latch on it is damaged, though it still works. It's also missing the instruction sheet that I'm fairly certain these would typically have inside the door, though I don't really mind.
The model number for these bells under WRRS was 1276, but IIRC, WRRS marketed them as the "Pedestrian Bell". These are typically referred to as the "Mini-bell" by railfans though, as they are much smaller than your typical crossing bell due to featuring an 8 inch gong, rather than a 12 inch gong like a normal mechanical crossing bell. More information about these bells, along with my specific bell, can be found in the first video below.
