Re: Some flat sounding bells
One of the bells on this crossing in Germany sounds more like a hammer rather than a sound of the manual bell.
One of the bells don't work properly here.
The bell before the crossing activates on this Italian crossing doesn't sound properly, the real question to ask is, why do these bells sound before crossing activation? Are these crossings activated manually?
This bell sounds very bad...

Believe so, yea. The bell basically alerts the signaller that a train is due.NathanFromEngland wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2020 10:25 am The bell before the crossing activates on this Italian crossing doesn't sound properly, the real question to ask is, why do these bells sound before crossing activation? This "new" alarm already sounds tired.

Found this pretty-well messed-up General Signals e-bell in Birmingham recently:
They/Them for me, please.

Re: Some flat sounding bells
Not sure if this was posted, but this Safetran Type 3 e-bell doesn't sound too good:
EDIT: Here's a bad US&S e-bell:

The mechanical bell closer to the camera in this video sounds flat:

Re: Some flat sounding bells
One of the WCH mechanical bells at the first crossing seen in this video sounds rather flat, I'm guessing due to it being a bit frozen:
They/Them for me, please.

Re: Some flat sounding bells
A Safetran(?) mechanical bell heard at 0:58 in this video sounds rather flat and rough:
They/Them for me, please.

Re: Some flat sounding bells
The near WCH e-bell in this video is making quite an unusual sound:
They/Them for me, please.
