*originally recorded on 5-30-20*

Signal on the left: 3.5 pairs of Federal Signal 12x20 inch lights, 1 WCH 12x24 inch light, a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell, a GRS gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Federal Signal 12x20 inch lights, a GRS gate mechanism, a RECO LED gate light, and NEG LED gate lights.

After catching Q574 in Louisville, I then chased him on out to this crossing in Crestwood for my next video. Apologies for my shot being a bit back-lit, this was really the only good angle for this crossing.

This crossing is a pretty decent one, featuring a pair of 1970s L&N signals which haven't changed too much since they were installed. It appears that in the late-90s, one of the lights on the far signal was struck and replaced with the current WCH 12x24. Then, sometime between 2007 and 2009, the original mechanical bell here (an MI bell?) was replaced with the current Safetran Type 2.
Since then, no major changes have occured to these signals, thankfully, especially since mast signals with Federal Signal 12x20s don't seem to be all that common on former L&N trackage. This crossing is also located right where KY 22 and KY 146 dogleg to opposite sides of the LCL Subdivision.
They/Them for me, please.
