Post by pluey200 »

Located on the northern half of the CSX Greenwich Subdivision
WCH mech bell replaced a Safetran mech bell between when the vid was filmed (6-17-20) and 2014
Also, what is the model number for these types of gate mechs? They're labelled as Safetran

Both signals have four 8x20 Safetran incandescents (some seem to be beginning to rust?)
both signals have wrrs brackets
both signals have wrrs bases
both signals have the weird Safetran gate mech
North signal has a WCH mech bell

Those are Safetran Model 85s, Conrail was a big fan of them for a little while, it seems, but they didn't really see much use elsewhere outside of CR's system.
Great video and crossing!
They/Them for me, please.
