Recorded on 6-16-20. Our final catch of the day. We was heading home from the BNSF Marceline Sub when we saw the front end of this train pass by Sterling Ave. We decided to race this train out to this crossing and catch it here as I wanted to get a decent video of this crossing for once. Of course some old man kept asking me what I was doing while I was filming as well as the old man in the red truck you see crossing at the end stopping in the middle of the road and started to chew me out for no reason. The dude like stopped and begin harassing, and threatening me because I had my car parked on the side of the road which wasn't my fault as there isn't a good place to park it at. Course the idiot was rambling on and on hogging up traffic. Thankfully the camera wasn't rolling at the time he harassed me as well as when I told him off. The train we caught here was a westbound manifest with a tier 4 ace trailing. Crossing itself features newer wch signals that were installed sometime in I wanna say 2016 as these signals replaced a pair of older MoPac signals (which can be seen in a older streetview of this crossing in 2014). It's a shame those signals were replaced as I wanted to see them in action. But nonetheless, at least was able to film this crossing in action for once. On a sad note, this was the final catch with my Samsung HMX-F90 as it got broken earlier in the day from me accidentally dropping it. Luckily, I ordered a replacement HMX-F90 to replace the broken one. Until that camera comes in, I might have to record some catches on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ until it comes in.
Proud owner of 7 mechanical bells along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.
