*originally recorded on 7-3-20*

Signal on the left: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Dotted LEDs, 1 Safetran 12x24 inch light with a Dialight Low Wattage LED, 1 Safetran 12x24 inch light with a Harmon Fading LED, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Fading LEDs, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

After chasing Y115 back into Savannah, I got to documenting the other crossings I didn't record. However, after I pulled up to this crossing and was getting out of my car to document it, I heard a familiar K5LLA to my north. So I ran on up to the crossing and sure enough, Y115 was making their way back south to their yard to do some switching an work a nearby customer! As such, I quickly grabbed Ethan and my camera and were were able to get set-up in time to record them running back through this crossing light. The engineer was also kind enough to give us a bit of a horn show, which was neat to hear.

This crossing is another nice one, featuring a pair of mostly original Safetran signals installed by the SBD in the 1980s. The first major change came in the 2000s, when CSX replaced the gate mech on the closer signal with a newer Safetran one.
The crossing then remained mostly unchanged until 2016, when it was given an LED upgrade with a rather unusual mixture of LEDs. I'm not entirely sure why such a mix was used here, though I do suspect most of them were supplied by the GC, given the fact that CSX never used Harmon LEDs (AFAIK), and they're the ones who own this crossing. However, the lights here do look nicely faded, so that's always a plus in my book. The Safetran mechanical bells here also both sound quite nice and healthy, so hopefully they get to hang around here for years to come.
This video from 2011 also shows this crossing in action before it was upgraded to LED, along with another 8 inch crossing that has since (sadly) been upgraded:
They/Them for me, please.
