Recorded on 9-21-20. 1st time filming this crossing in action, along with catching NS 8104 again, and a KCS transfer train. I went over to Avondale Yard in North Kansas City as I got the word that NS 8104 is coming since It was coming from the West Bottoms. While I was in North KC, I met up with Jack ( a fellow railfanner Myles and I know), to catch it as It was on a light engine move heading to Avondale Yard with a pair of rebuilt ac44c6ms The first train we caught was a KCS transfer train from Knoche Yard with sd70macs leading. After the transfer train came, the NS light engine move came with 8104 on it. This busy 7 track crossing is owned and maintained by BNSF. bells here ring from startup until the gates raise. Note, this crossing is located next to some plant that puts out a really foul smell as it made the air quality so bad, we had to break out the masks just to film this crossing. This crossing has the tendency to get blocked alot as BNSF and NS do some switching around here. So word of advice if you are even planning to film this crossing in action.
Proud owner of 7 mechanical bells along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.
