Traffic Light outage in Prescott Valley Yesterday

Talk about other non-signal stuff here. Make sure to obey the rules though.

Traffic Light outage in Prescott Valley Yesterday

Post by Smjh1979 »

From The Daily Courier:

Saturday, July 25, 2009

"The traffic signal at the Highway 69 and Prescott East Highway intersection in Prescott Valley was inoperable from about 3:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday because of a nearby lightning strike, but was later repaired, PV police Sgt. Robert Brown said.

Two officers directed traffic at the intersection for nearly two hours before the light went back on, Brown added.

Police reported no accidents at the intersection because of the outage despite some traffic congestion there during an afternoon rainstorm."

That intersection was upgraded last year from an assisted left turn to red arrows due to widening of Highway 69 from 5 to 7 lanes. Traffic turning left onto Highway 69 has no arrows of any sort.
