UP Alabama Street crossing getting LEDs

UP's Alabama Street crossing is getting upgraded from regular bulbs to LEDs now.I'm sitting at my railfan spot watching them get installed.The crossing is in downtown Pine Bluff,AR.The maintainer even gave me the mirror that was going to be thrown away.

Pretty cool. I wonder how long it will take until all 12" (probably not so much with 8"), mirrors are going to be stopped being made, as in obsolete?
