*originally recorded on 6-9-21*

Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and a RECO gate light.

Once I got A95 in Forty-Five, I'd heard they were going to meet NS 16Z at Rossville, so I decided to swing over here to get that 16Z. I actually wound-up just barely beating A95 here, but it wasn't enough time to get set-up in (though, that being said, A95 wasn't my initial goal to get here). However, they quickly diverged into the siding here around 16Z and, a few minutes later, this short 16Z got going with a single UP AC45CCTE for power.

This crossing is another neat one, featuring a mostly original 1980s NS install. In the late-90s, the original Safetran mechanical bell here got replaced with a GS Type 1. Then, between 2016 and 2017, the GS Type 1 here must've died so NS replaced it with the current GS Type 2 (which was most likely re-used from another crossing). (Also thanks to my friend Pack Studioz who used to live down in this area and had some videos which helped nail down the approximate date of replacement.) Since then, thankfully no major changes have occured to these older signals, and, interestingly enough, the closer signal still retains a diagonally striped gate arm! The bell here also rings while the gates are down, which is quite neat to see.
The next crossing west, West Street, also features a mid-90s NS install which has the bell there ring while the gates rise.
