*originally recorded on 6-21-21*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and Progress Rail(?) LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 1 RACO 8 inch light, 1 GRS Lex-C 8 inch light (with a blown bulb), 1 WABCO 8 inch light, 1 Safetran 8 inch light, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.

This was the next crossing I chased L781 to, and it's certainly a rather neat one. As you can see, the signals here were originally a late-70s SCL install, though at some point, the closer signal had at least its two left-hand lights struck and replaced with the current RACO and WABCO 8 inch lights. The crossing seems to have remained largely unchanged after that, but then sometime between 2008 and 2012, the Safetran bell on the far signal must've died, so the GC replaced it with the current GS Type 2. At about this same time, the front-right light must've gotten struck and replaced (possibly again?), with the replacement this time being a re-used GRS Lex-C light. No idea where this Lex-C even came from, especially since the SCL never used them (as far as I'm aware), but it's certainly still rather neat to see, nonetheless. Unfortunately, the bulb inside it was dead when I was here, but the Safetran mechanical bell here still sounds quite nice and healthy, so that's nice to see. All in all, this is a pretty nice crossing, and I'm glad I was able to record it.
