*originally recorded on 6-24-21*

Signal on the far left: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the far right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs.
Signal on the near left: 3 pairs of WCH 12x20 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs.
Signal on the near right: 3 pairs of WCH 12x20 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, an NEG electronic bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

After the intermodal train came through, the CSX local pulled back-up to the diamonds, but had to stop and wait for NS to send a train through. However, after a little while, it eventually came back through, running lite, and tied down for the day at CSX's building here in Cordele.

This crossing's a neat one. Originally, there had only been a pair of gateless signals with 8 inch lights from either the ACL or SCL on CSX's side (though CSX had since replaced both bells to GS e-bells, which leads me to believe it was probably an SCL install), while the HOG's track was just protected by a pair of crossbucks. However, in the late 2000s, both crossings here were upgraded to become a double-crossing, with CSX's signals having remained almost completely unchanged since. The HOG's gated signal actually originally featured a WCH e-bell, but at some point after 2013, it died and was replaced with the current NEG e-bell. Other than that though, no major changes have occured to this crossing since it got upgraded.
Either way, it's cool to get to record another double crossing like this, since they ain't too common. It's also neat to see the HOG's bell here rings as the gates rise.
They/Them for me, please.
