King Edward Street, Cullman, AL
Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Gen LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Gen LEDs, an NEG e-bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
I believe this crossing is the only crossing in Cullman County, AL to have MI lights. Also, the NEG replaced a General Signals e-bell.
They/Them for me, please.

Re: King Edward Street, Cullman, AL
*originally recorded on 8-26-21*
Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, an NEG electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

After catching the northbound mixed freight, I tried to get Q026 at the crossing in Bangor only to find that Q026 had beaten me there. As such, I instead chased it up here to Cullman, beating it with a bit of time to spare. Here we see Q026 on its journey north with an ES44AH leading an AC44CW on the head-end and another ES44AH working as the mid-train DPU.
As you can see, not too much has changed here since I last recorded this crossing five years ago. The old 80s CSX cantilever is still here, thankfully, and still retains all of its MI lights. Both gate arms were replaced, however, and now have all NEG LED gate lights. As far as I'm aware, no other major changes have occured to this crossing, thankfully. On the closer signal, however, the right-hand mast light's LED appears to have come off of the lens and is no longer centered properly in the light.
