Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, an NEG electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

The crossing itself isn't all that interesting, being an install from around 2010 that's had the original Safetran Type 3 replaced with an NEG e-bell, but the 2 Tracks signs here are pretty much completely faded now. This is also the only crossing that's actually IN Ardmore, AL.

After catching Q524, I decided to hop on up to Ardmore to record another crossing up there. There, I wound-up catching N040 with an ES44AH pulling and an ET44AH pushing in the middle.

There's been a couple of changes here since I last recorded this crossing. First off, both gate arms were replaced and now all of the gate lights are NEG LEDs. Next, the extremely faded 2 Tracks signs here were replaced with new ones. Other than that though, it doesn't appear that any major changes have occured here.

After I caught M514 in Ardmore, TN, I started working my way back south. When I was documenting a small upgrade here, I heard another northbound train approaching and quickly set-up my camera for it on the east side of the crossing, as the lighting still seemed to be on this side. Soon after, I was able to get my fourth train of the day: CSX W087, a northbound Herzog ballast train, pulling into Ardmore Siding with an ES40DC leading an ES44AH for power! Definitely a great catch here, I always do enjoy seeing ballast trains like this.

Since I was last here, CSX has replaced the tip gate light here with a RECO LED gate light. No other changes appear to have occurred to this crossing since I last filmed it, however.
