*originally recorded on 12-16-21*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
This was the fourth train I caught on this day. It was NS 204 (IIRC) which had a UP SD70ACe leading a UP AC44CW, an NS ES44AC, and a UP AC44CWCTE.
This crossing is another nice one. It appears that this crossing had some signals that were originally installed in the 1980s by the late-SOU, and they remained almost entirely unchanged into the 2000s. Then, sometime between 2008 and 2014, the closer signal was replaced entirely, and around the same time, the far signal had its Safetran 12x24s replaced with the current Safetran 12x20s. Thankfully, since then, no major changes appear to have occurred here, and the Safetran mechanical bell still sounds pretty healthy. Hopefully it remains here for a good while longer.
