Another crossing in Oak Grove I was able to film in action. Again, sorry for the wind being a nuisance. After catching MKCVN at Northern Blvd, I decided to head east to catch this train again. I was originally deciding on catching this train in Grain Valley, but I decided to film at Oak Grove instead since I wanted to film this crossing in action. Of course when I got here, the rain showers have begun since there was storms popping up today (like I mentioned in the last video). Fortunately the pop up showers ended by the time the train got here. Like Clinton St (which I already have filmed in action), this crossing is a mid 2000's KCS install with Harmon 12x24 lights that have Harmon Fading Leds installed in the light frames. Basically a similar setup as Clinton St minus the side lights. There is another crossing in Oak Grove that I haven't filmed at which is Robinson Rd. I have no clue if I will film that crossing at some point. That crossing is unfortunately a quiet zone since it's located in a HOA neighborhood. One of two quiet zone crossings on the Mexico Sub. If I ever do film there. Hopefully there is some way to park my car without it getting towed away.
Proud owner of 7 mechanical bells along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.
