Recorded on 11-24-20. About time I got a proper video of this crossing in action! Oh it's about time lol. After Shane and I caught the empty coal train at Vermont, waited for any other trains on the Sedalia Sub to come. Unfortunately nothing else came by as we was sitting there till near 4pm. Wasn't until Myles texted me and told me that the Mexico Sub got lined and that a westbound was coming. Without any hesitation, we raced over to Northern BLVD and we caught a westbound KCS grain train with BNSF 6183 trailing. For those wondering, this is the same crossing I''ve featured in Vault Classics. At the time of that video, it had a first gen safetran mechanical bell. Unfortunately in 2017 it died and KCS replaced it with the current gs type 3. Since then, nothing major has changed here. I'm very happy that I finally got a video of this crossing in action. I only got about 1 crossing left on the Mexico Sub in Independence I need to record in action which is 39th St over near Blue Springs. Still need to film McCoy St in the daylight as I've filmed that crossing at night when MVNKC went by back in May.
Proud owner of 7 mechanical bells along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.

Finally got another video of this crossing in action, this time with the new leds this crossing received sometime in December at the same time Harvard Ave #2, and Scott Ave #2 received theirs. Sorry for the wind being a nuisance in this vid.

Recorded on 3-12-22. Managed to film this crossing again, this time I was able to film on the other side which I haven't filmed on this side since my very first video I shot in 2015 back when this crossing had a 1st gen safetran mechanical bell.
