On February 14th, I got on up and checked out of the hotel for my final day of railfanning on this trip. Went out to this nice 8 inch install over on the Lineville Sub, since it was one of the last two 8 inch installs I had yet to record on the line. After a little bit of waiting here, this Q601 came rolling through with a CM44AC leading an AC44CW on the head-end, and an ES44AH working as the mid-train DPU.

This crossing is a very nice one, featuring an SCL MI install from about the mid-70s. It appears that at some point, I'm guessing later-on in the 70s by the SCL, the closer signal's front-right light was replaced with the current WCH 8 inch light. The crossing remained relatively unchanged until the late-90s, when it appears that CSX replaced both bells here (though the far signal's original bell could've lasted into the early 2000s, based on the condition of the current bell and the fact that it's still on the original 4 inch adapter). Since then, it appears no major changes have occured here, thankfully enough.
The bell on the far signal has died at some point, however, and CSX had yet to replace it at the time of the video. Interestingly enough, the closer signal's GS Type 1 has had the speaker fall into the bell, but it still works pretty well. The far signal's e-bell's speaker might've as well, but it's pretty hard to tell in my pictures and I certainly didn't notice it while I was there. I will say though, I do like these signals with their full set of 8 inch lights, WABCO Model 75 gate mech pair, and GS Type 1, so hopefully those all remain around here for a good while to come.
