This was the fourth and final crossing I recorded on the Link Light Rail in Seattle. Here we see two more light rail trains pass through (again, in two separate clips). After this, I took the light rail back down to my car and headed back to the hotel for one final night in Washington.
The following day, I drove back to Butte, MT, but didn't catch anything that day (though I did stop and document a crossing in Idaho just off of I-90).
This crossing is another nice one, featuring even more signals that were installed here back in the mid-2000s when this part of the light rail was built. Like with all of the others, nothing major appears to have changed to them, and both bells here are GE e-bells. I will say, it was nice getting to record four more crossing with GE e-bells on them, given how hard to find they are in the southeast (especially since CSX didn't use them too often).
Like with the other crossings on this line, this crossing does have some unique features about it. For example, the cantilever on this side of the crossing actually has the front pair of mast lights on it mounted on the cantilever mast, rather than the gate mast like the other ones. The far cantilever signal also doesn't have any side lights, while both of the right-hand pedestrian signals feature three pairs of lights on them.
This crossing is also located under the very western end of I-90, which is also the longest interstate in the US.
All in all, these were some rather neat crossings, and I'm glad I was able to record them while I was up in Washington.
They/Them for me, please.
