Dysinger Avenue, Burns, TN
*originally recorded on 12-21-22*
Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Federal Signal 8 inch lights and a WRRS mechanical bell.
Signal on the far right: 1 pair of Federal Signal 8 inch lights.
Signal on the near right: 2 pairs of WRRS 8 inch lights.
The next crossing we caught M531 at was this crossing in Burns. It's a very nice one, featuring a nice early to mid-1970s L&N install that's pretty much entirely original still. I always do like these L&N installs with the extra auxiliary signals, seems like the L&N did it more often than most other railroads here in the southeast. The WRRS mechanical bell here also still sounds nice and healthy as well, had it been cloudy I definitely would've set-up on the other side, though I set-up on this side as that's where the lighting was. Hopefully these signals continue to remain unchanged for many more years to come, but either way, I'm quite glad I was able to record this crossing when I did.
