*originally recorded on 12-21-22*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell, a GRS gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, 1 pair of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, a GRS gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

This was the next crossing I caught I126 at. I tried to chase it to a crossing around McKenzie, but unfortunately I wasn't able to beat it there. As such, I just continued driving until I was both ahead of it and saw a crossing that I thought I remembered was interesting. I was only just barely ahead of it here, and was just able to get stopped and set-up in time to record this crossing.
Ethan also got it at another crossing in this town, however, after it had passed, he went to get some food and drink (as he had a headache as he completely forgot to bring water, and didn't tell me until about this point) before heading back home, while I continued chasing it down the Memphis Sub.

Had I remembered that Atwood had an 8 inch WCH install, I probably would've continued to that one instead (especially since it might've given me a bit more time to set-up), but this is still a fairly nice crossing, and I'm glad I got to record it. This crossing features what appears to be a 1970s L&N install, but between 2009 and 2012, CSX replaced what appears to have been the original mechanical bell here with the current Safetran Type 2 e-bell. The crossing was then left alone for several more years, but then sometime between 2020 and 2021, CSX sadly upgraded the crossing to LED and replaced all of the Federal Signal 8 inch lights that were here with the current 12x24 inch ones. Strangely, despite how new the lights here are, one of the side lights on the closer signal is already missing its visor.
Either way, even though these signals are fairly modernized (and probably one of the more boring crossings I shot on this trip), it does have another pair of GRS gate mechs, which are always quite nice to see, IMHO. Hopefully they'll remain around for many more years to come, but either way, I'm glad I got to record them.
