Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
After I shot L693 on the Belfast Branch, I went back over to the CSX S&NA North Sub to record more of the unrecorded crossings along it, going to this one first as I knew I wanted to get it shot on this side if I could. On my way over here, I started hearing a southbound train approaching fast, so I quickly made my way over to this crossing in hopes of beating it. Thankfully, I was able to get here and get set-up with just a couple of minutes to spare before the crossing activated. The train was CSX M647, and here we get to see it flying through with a pair of ES40DCs for power.
This crossing is a fairly decent one, featuring a pair of signals that were originally installed in the early-2000s by CSX. In about 2013/2014, CSX upgraded almost all of the crossings on the S&NA North to LED, and this one was no exception. Since then, however, no major changes appear to have occurred here, thankfully. The closer signal has also had the array in one of the LEDs in the front lights fall into the lens.
