At around 2:10 in this video, you can see a decommissioned ambulance being chased by police crash through level crossing barriers whilst the driver flees which was broadcasted on a television series called Police Interceptors in 2019. Narrowly avoided being obliterated by a passing passenger train.

One of the gates at Washington Street in Athens, AL, was struck by someone who decided to run the crossing at the last minute:


Didn't break off the arm, thankfully.

Just after 3:00 in this video, a truck strikes both gate arms at a crossing, twisting one mechanism and knocking the arm off of the other signal:

This showed up in my subscription feed earlier today, with the crossing barrier landing on the back of the viewers car at 1:13, combined with a too close for comfort near miss with the train.
