No major changes as of 12-31-19, though the speaker-cone for the GS Type 1 has since fallen apart and the bell now sounds fuzzy:

After chasing NS 201 to Town Creek, I went and got some lunch there. After lunch, I decided to start making my way back home, but also decided to swing by a few crossings in Decatur on the way. While here, I saw that CSX had a southbound lined through Decatur, so I decided to set-up here and wait on it. Don't believe I had to wait too long, but either way, I'd eventually see this southbound CSX mixed freight pass through with an ES44AH leading an SD70MAC.
As you can see, this crossing is still mostly the same. The only major change here appears to have been that two of the RECO LED gate lights that'd been on the closer gate arm are now NEG LED gate lights. Other than that, the crossing is basically still the same as when I last recorded it at the end of 2019. The far signal even still retains a diagonally-striped gate arm, which is rather nice to see. Believe it could very well be the last diagonally-striped gate arm left on the S&NA North Sub, but I'd have to double check most of the rest of the crossings. Certainly one of the last though, at least.

On March 24th, I went back out to the CSX S&NA North again to try and finish out the S&NA North Sub's crossings. Unfortunately, the signals at Tabernacle Road in Hartselle were still not active at the time (and still weren't when I checked the following week), so I have yet to complete the line. I still had a very successful day on this day though, and this was the first train that I caught: CSX L692 heading back into Oakworth Yard with a single GP38-2 for power.
Since I was last here, CSX had unfortunately replaced the gate arm on the closer signal and all of the gate lights with it, meaning that I believe there are no more fully diagonally-striped gate arms left on the S&NA North Sub. The GS Type 1 e-bell on the closer signal is still here and working though, which is rather nice to see.
