Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a General Signals Type-1 e-bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

This crossing has a rather old L&N set-up here, even though CSX has replaced just about all of the equipment at it.
They/Them for me, please.

*originally recorded on 8-29-21*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

After catching the work train, I went and got myself some lunch. After eating, I continued on up to this crossing on the south side of Decatur and waited. After a little bit of waiting, M788 came through with the same GP38-3 for power as we'd seen earlier.

As you can see, a smaller change has occurred here since I last recorded this crossing. Both gate arms here were replaced and all of the gate lights were replaced with NEG LEDs. Other than that though, I'm happy to report that CSX hasn't made any changes to this crossing, and both of the old L&N-era gated signals still remain here, along with the GS Type 1 that CSX installed here in the late-90s.

*originally recorded on 3-19-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, NEG LED gate lights, and a RECO LED gate light.

CSX I141 was running right behind M521, so after M521 had passed, I went back south to this crossing to wait for it. Shortly after I got here and got set-up, I was able to get my eleventh train of the day: a short CSX I141 with an ES40DC leading an ES44AH for power.

As you can see, nothing too major has changed to this crossing since I last recorded it. However, since I was last here, CSX has replaced the tip gate light on the closer signal with a new RECO LED gate light. No other changes appear to have occurred here, though, which is quite nice to see.
