*originally recorded on 5-21-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.

After catching the southbound intermodal train, DeeDeeTeeArts and I continued on south to this crossing for our next train. After about 2 hours of waiting, we got my fifth train of the day: a northbound autorack train with an AC44C6M pulling on the head-end and an ES44DC working as the mid-train DPU.

This crossing is another great one, especially since it still features a fully original 1980s NS install! Not entirely sure how this one's managed to remain almost entirely unchanged over the years, especially since the Atlanta North is a very busy NS mainline, but I'm definitely glad it has. The Safetran mechanical bell here also still sounds very nice and healthy, which is great to see. Hopefully these old NS signals remain here unchanged for many more years to come, but, either way, I'm quite glad I got to film them when I did.
